We are pleased to share an update following Alicia's recent selection to represent Great Britain at the Judo Rome Cadet European Cup 2026. This was Alicia's first appearance on the European stage with the GB Cadet Squad, competing in a field of over 760 athletes from 31 countries. It's a major step up in standard, and she rose to the challenge. On the day, Alicia secured her first European Cup victory with an impressive win over a French black belt a significant milestone at this level. She continued to battle her way through the competition before losing to the eventual gold medallist, which placed her into the repechage rounds. She fought again for a place in the bronze medal contest but narrowly missed out. While she didn't return with a medal, she walked away with something just as valuable international experience, confidence under pressure, and proof that she belongs at this level. To round off the weekend, Alicia also completed a two-day international training camp, testing herself alongside some of the best emerging athletes in Europe. We are incredibly proud of her effort, resilience and the way she represented both Great Britain and the school throughout the event. Well done, Alicia!

1 day agoThe second set of subjects under the spotlight ready for Options Evening tomorrow are: BTEC Sport, GCSE Computer Science, Hospitality and Catering, and Media! Again, all taught by specialist teachers with high levels of student enjoyment and engagement. We are looking forward to sharing our widest ever offer with you tomorrow night!
