Official School opening!
6th November marked the official opening of our school alongside the celebration of the 800th anniversary of the Charter of the Forest. The school planted a tree donated by the Woodland Trust to mark the occasion. Visitors were invited to hear speeches, watch the tree planting and unveil our sculpture. It was a great day for all involved. The students engaged with both Charter and Woodland activties, such as; willow weaving, ink making, writing a charter with quills, deforestation murder mystery and also some fairytale forest inspired creative writing. We finished the day by taking part in the lantern walk at Lincoln Castle to commemorate the Charter and also appreciate how vital trees are to our world and the future generations.
