On Friday 11th May a group of year 9 students embarked upon the 'cradle to cradle' experience at Hill Holt Wood. This is a social enterprise that cares about protecting the environment, Hill Holt Wood has always tried to find new innovative ways to reduce our waste materials which we throw away daily. The latest effort was operation sawdust which is based on compressing sawdust to make briquettes for fuel. The whole day was to teach and inspire participants to better protect the environment through waste reduction. Year 9 had a great day making briquettes, building with bales and having a go at pole-lathing.
